We are so grateful for the prayers of many friends and family members as we engage in God’s work in Japan.
As we pray we declare our complete dependance on God, and express our obedience to His command to bring all our needs to Him in faith.
Our current requests (Jan ‘08) are:
Please thank God with us:
· For a happy Christmas break with the family;
· For safety as we drive on icy roads;
· For Manuela Langhans – helping us with childcare 3-4 mornings / week
Please pray with us for:
· An increasingly close walk with the Lord and greater faith in Him through this year; we both battle to get out of bed early on the cold winter mornings…..
· Wisdom and clear guidance about our next church placement; as a first step we are visiting 2 churches in January.
· Progress for Martin & Sam with language study;
· More Japanese friends for all of us, not least the children who are very keen to play with other local children but haven’t yet developed good local friendships
· Georgie’s (and Elijah’s) return to Yochien and Raffie’s return to school on January 21st;
· Getting the right balance between time spent on language study and time with our children;· Daily wisdom, grace and patience as we all spend a lot of time together inside a small house….
· Relief for Sam from her sore finger and chronic toothache (she sees the Dentist again on Jan 15th).
